Bhoto Jatra Observed

The last day of Rato Machindra Nath Rath Yatra (The goddess of  rain) was observed by displaying bhoto. This day is also known as Bhoto Jatra.


The bhoto was displayed by Lekhnath Sapkota, Chief of Guthi Sansthan (Lalitpur). and was attended by President Ram Baran Yadav. The festival is celebrated specially in Newar community.

The government also declared a public holiday today.
